With strong expertise in
design, marketing communications and creative strategy, co-founders Penny
Yost and Mike Adams provide the studio's core creative vision. The studio
operates as a hub, bringing together photographers, copywriters, programmers,
animators and other specialists to build a team of creative professionals
to match the needs of your project.
Our creative vision and extensive experience in the field are backed by
academic and professional training in design, multimedia, and business.
Both founding partners have taught in the field and stay continually abreast
of new emerging technologies and design strategies.
PENNY YOST – Founding Partner, Creative Director
Penny
orchestrates the daily operations at the studio, from concept development
to final deliverables. She
has
over 20 years experience in marketing communications design, including 7
years in Internet and new media design. As a creative professional, she
has had the opportunity to work with diverse clients from small local businesses
to large global corporations. Prior to YA CREATIVE, Penny worked with the
Walt Disney Internet Group, serving as Art Director at ABC.com, where she
oversaw the design direction for the ABC Television website. She also served
as Art Director for Oscar.com, the official website for the Academy Awards
for the 73rd and 74th annual awards. Penny holds
degrees in Art and Multimedia and is currently earning a Masters in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
MICHAEL ADAMS – Founding Partner
Mike is a marketing communications manager, designer, and educator. His designs
and illustrations have garnered dozens of regional and national awards. He has
a keen understanding of Internet technologies and has developed web sites and
interactive media for over a decade. Mike was co-founder of the innovative Multimedia
Program at California Lutheran University and taught in the program for six years.
Mike's broad technical skills, coupled with 25 years experience in design and
marketing communications, bring added depth to the team.
